Art offers an outlet for self-expression. There are things that I cannot say out loud, I can express that in art. It turns our thoughts into a code language where people with similar experiences can interpret what an artist is trying to communicate. Most of my work is pattern-based, which I derive from my love for embroidery. The smallest of stitches coming together to make incredible artwork. I usually don’t look for meaning in my artwork, I just follow my instinct. The incredible part comes when I look back at the art and find meaning in it. There are photos of me drawing on the walls as a kid – they might have been just a mess by a kid, but now when I look back, those messy strokes hold signs of innocence of child.
